Cookies and what we store
Last updated: 18 October 2026. This page covers the recipe site (Second Helping), the quotes (Unsaid) and the channel directory on affiliatenebula.com.
The short version
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics, Meta pixels or similar tools on these pages. That is why you do not see a cookie banner here.
What your browser keeps
| Name | Type | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| pal2 | Local storage | Remembers the colour palette you picked. | Until you clear it |
| nostat | Local storage | Only set if our own team asks not to be counted in the visit statistics. | Until you clear it |
| Notifications | Browser subscription | Only if you tap Notify me: we keep the delivery address your browser gives us, to tell you when a new recipe is out. Tap the button again to turn them off and we delete it. | Until you turn them off |
| studio | Cookie (strictly necessary) | Keeps our authors signed in to the private area where recipes are written. Visitors never get it. | Up to 30 days |
Local storage stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it any time from your browser settings.
How we count visits
When a page opens, it sends us a small note with the page address, the page that sent you here and the page title. To count how many different people visited on a given day, our server combines your IP address and browser name with a random value that changes every day, and keeps only a short scrambled code. We cannot use that code to recognise you on another day, and we do not keep your IP address. No cookie is involved.
Other sites
Buttons like Join on Telegram, Save to Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok take you to those services, which use their own cookies under their own policies. Our fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.
The advertising marketplace at /ads is a separate service with its own cookie notice and, at checkout, our payment providers (Stripe and NOWPayments) set the cookies they need to process the payment.
