Ingredients: 150 g 55% dark chocolate; 200 g soft butter; 150 g sugar; 150 g all-purpose flour; 30 g unsweetened cocoa powder; 4 eggs (room temperature); 8 g baking powder; 1 pinch salt; extra cocoa powder for dusting

Cake Batter

150 g 55% dark chocolate
200 g soft butter
150 g sugar
150 g all-purpose flour
30 g unsweetened cocoa powder
4 eggs (room temperature)
8 g baking powder
1 pinch salt
extra cocoa powder for dusting

Method

Tap a step when it is done.

Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave and let it cool slightly.
Beat the butter with the sugar and salt until creamy.
Add 2 eggs and mix until fully absorbed.
Pour in half of the melted chocolate and beat until combined.
Add the other 2 eggs, then the remaining melted chocolate, continuing to beat.
Sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and fold them into the batter until smooth.
Pour the batter into a 22 cm pan lined with parchment paper or buttered and floured.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) in a conventional/static oven for 40 minutes.
Let the cake cool and dust with cocoa powder.
